A little about ourselves

Charlotte Artillery is a group of people who portray history during every event by honoring those who fought during the Civil War. Some of those fought on the battlefield, some fought at home to keep their way of life, some fought in their hearts while loved ones were away in battle, some fought to keep others alive, some fought in the political realms, some fought within themselves, some fought against family members, some fought pain and despair. The US, North and South, fought to save a nation. We honor those, both North and South. We remember who they were, how they were and what they were. We strive, as a unit, to maintain the historical aspect of a nation as it grows and learns.

Invitation

Come visit one of our reenactments to see for yourself how we interpret and attempt to portray the life of an artillery unit both on the field of battle and in camp. Authentic period camping is our lifestyle during a reenactment complete with canvas A-frame tents, wood fired cooking, period wool clothes and camp supplies. Visit with us. Ask us questions.
